Madrid, March 20, 2010. For the second consecutive year, Smart Business, with its project “Loft Rojo Madrid” has been selected as a finalist for the international awards “Cedia Awards 2010” in the category Best Media Room under £ 15,000.
The 2010 CEDIA Awards list has been announced in London and, as always, brings together some of the best examples of residential electronic systems integration in the industry.
From penthouses in St. Pancras to 19th century Belgian castles; This year’s list celebrates true excellence and talent in design and installation in the EMEA residential Custom Instalation sector.
And for the second year in a row, Spain is represented in these prestigious awards by Smart Business and its project “Loft Rojo Madrid”. It is a flat in Madrid that owes its name to the red-painted ceilings of the common areas.
Taking into account that the same room is dedicated to different activities: cinema, reading, TV, work, eating, etc. the furniture design is one of the most interesting points of this project. From tables that are backlit to revolving doors to share spaces, the design of multimedia furniture is definitely the protagonist of this project.
In the center of the room and to take advantage of structural requirements, a steel cabinet was made that gives access to all audiovisual equipment. From the top of the cabinet, the projector is hung that projects onto a recessed screen hidden in the ceiling.
With a 2.1 surround speaker, rear effects are generated in case you are watching a movie or you can have the possibility of listening to a double stereo in case of having a party or meeting.
The entire system is controlled from anywhere in the room using a touch control.
